This is how your new role looks like:

You are part of the 60+ persons engineering team of DevOps, Backend & Frontend, UX/UI Experts, Product Owners and Scrum Masters. You will work closely with your DevOps Engineers with the mission to operate applications that not only provide users with stability and 24/7 availability, but also make our customers` life easier through agility and control. Due to the fast growth of the company you will evaluate the pertinence and suitability of current and past solutions since our challenges evolve rapidly.

We are looking to hire our new DevOps Team Lead in either Switzerland, Portugal, Germany or Poland.

Responsibilities (what you will be doing):

  • Lead an international team of 3 DevOps and SRE’s and support their development within the organization
  • Ultimately responsible for Sherpany’s product infrastructure
  • Maintain complex distributed systems with changing requirements and being responsible for overall responsiveness and availability of all endpoints
  • Ensuring a stable change life cycle management and constantly adjusting to the product teams’ needs
  • Develop and grow the relationship between engineering and infrastructure teams, supporting developers onboard their products onto the platform
  • Designing architecture for new requirements and implementation thereof
  • Manage various stakeholders and vendors
  • Doing regular (internal and external) security assessments and assisting on company audits
  • Controlling of assigned budgets

Requirements (what we will love about you):

  • Experience in successfully leading a team (international environment is a plus)
  • Professional experience running un-managed kubernetes clusters
  • Demonstrable knowledge of highly available applications/systems
  • Comfortable with regular context switches to unblock your team and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to stake out short, mid and long-term tasks based on a (multi-) yearly roadmap and assign appropriate priorities
  • Supporting the team in day-to-day operations
